Arguably one of the biggest concerns for Chelsea and England fans, an update on the condition of Reece James has reportedly been confirmed.
Chelsea and England fans can probably heave a sigh of relief after the whole football world stood still when Reece James limped off in the second leg of the Champions League fixture AC Milan vs Chelsea.
Reece James had been subbed off in the champions league fixture after picking up a knock on his knee. This had been a major concern for football fans as the importance of James to England and Chelsea can not be ignored.
According to the Evening Standard:
Chelsea have been boosted by the news that the knee injury suffered by Reece James against AC Milan is not serious.
James was forced off in the second half of Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League win in Italy but initial checks showed he avoided a major setback.
The right-back was due to undergo further tests but is optimistic he will make a swift return.
James is likely to miss Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa but it is hoped he will be back next week in time to face either Brentford on Wednesday or Manchester United on Saturday.
